Nine years in the U.S. Army, and years afterwards pretending he was fine. Trauma-informed hypnotherapy for veterans, in Dushore, Pennsylvania or online anywhere in the country.
Nine years in the Army. You will not spend the first twenty minutes explaining what a deployment is, or why a certain sound does what it does to you.
Mark came to hypnotherapy from the lowest point of his own life, not from a career plan. Everything he offers you, he went looking for first.
Specific completed training in hypnosis for post-traumatic stress — triggers, protective responses, regulation, and going at a pace you set rather than one he sets.
Or comes and then breaks at three. The dreams. Sleeping with the door in view. Years of it, treated as normal because everyone around you was doing it too.
Scanning the room. Seats with your back to the wall. The startle response that makes a dropped pan a whole-body event and then embarrasses you in front of your family.
Not the anger itself — the speed of it. Gone from nothing to full in under a second, and the guilt afterwards that lasts for days.
From your family, your friends, the people who were closest before. The sense of watching your own life through glass.
Why you and not them. It is one of the heaviest things anyone carries and one of the least often said out loud.
By people who meant well. You cannot reason your way out of a response that fires before reasoning starts. That is not a character failure, it is how the mechanism works.
If you are working with the VA, a therapist, or a prescriber, keep doing that. Hypnotherapy is complementary — it is not a replacement for treatment and Mark will never ask you to stop or delay anything. He is a certified hypnotist, not a clinician, and he is clear about the difference.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, 24 hours a day. Veterans can press 1. In an emergency, call 911.
