What a session actually involves.

No swinging watch, no stage, no surrendering control. An hour of focused attention, in a room where nothing you say is going to shock anybody.

Step by step
An hour, from the door to the door.
First, you talk
No hypnosis

The first conversation is free and there is no hypnosis in it. What brought you here, what you have already tried, what you want to be different. At the end you get an honest read on whether this is likely to help.

Then a plan you agreed to
Session one

What you are working on, roughly how many sessions it is likely to take, and what happens between them. You will not be sold a package up front.

Induction
About ten minutes

Getting you into that focused, deeply relaxed state. Most people are surprised how ordinary it feels — like the moment before sleep, held steady.

The work
About thirty minutes

Suggestion, imagery, sometimes sound, sometimes revisiting something at a pace you control. You can speak the whole time. You can stop the whole time.

Coming back, and what next
The last ten minutes

You come out gently, we talk about what came up, and you leave with something to do or notice before the next one.

Who it is for
Six ways to work together.
Individual

One to one, and built around what you actually came in for. Most people start here. Sessions run about an hour, and you are awake, aware and in control the whole time.

Couples

For two people trying to get back to each other. Communication that has gone circular, trust that has been damaged, resentment that neither of you meant to build. Worked with together, not refereed.

Group

Small groups, for people carrying something similar. There is a specific relief in a room where nobody needs the background explained to them.

Veterans

Trauma-informed work from someone who served nine years and came home carrying it. No performance required, no bravado needed, nothing you have to translate.

Adolescents

Teenagers, with a parent or guardian involved from the first conversation. Anxiety, sleep, confidence, school pressure, and the things they will not say out loud yet.

Remote or in person

Sessions run online by video anywhere, or in person at the office in Dushore. Hypnotherapy works over video - what matters is your attention, not the room you are sitting in.

Online sessions
It genuinely works over video.

The most common objection is that this surely cannot work down a webcam. It can. What a session needs is your attention, a private hour and a pair of headphones — not a particular room.

For a lot of people it works better. You are already somewhere you feel safe, there is no drive home afterwards, and the hour after a heavy session is yours instead of the road’s.

The room itself does some of the work

Quiet, low light, nothing on the walls demanding anything of you, and an hour that belongs to you. A surprising number of people say the room was the first place in months they stopped bracing.

If you are coming online instead, this is worth recreating at your end — a door that shuts, headphones, and a phone that is face down in another room.

Clinical HypnoAcoustics
Sound, used deliberately.

One of Mark’s specialties. Sound has a direct, measurable effect on relaxation, attention and emotion, and built into a session on purpose rather than left as background music it can deepen the work considerably. Ask about it if it sounds like it would suit you.

A note on what to expect

Nobody can promise you an outcome, and anyone who does is telling you what you want to hear. What you will get here is an honest estimate, a pace you set, and a straight answer if this turns out not to be the right tool for what you brought.
